Ingredients

  • 1 cup of baking soda

  • 1/2 cup of Epsom salt

  • 1/4 cup of Witch Hazel or water

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves

Directions

Finely chop 1 cup of fresh mint leaves. This will help release their natural oils, enhancing the scent of your shower melts.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and ½ cup Epsom salt. Stir well to ensure even distribution of the ingredients.

Incorporate the chopped mint leaves into the dry mixture. Mix until the leaves are evenly spread throughout.

Slowly add the witch hazel to the dry ingredients, mixing continuously. You want the mixture to reach a consistency similar to damp sand. Be cautious not to add too much liquid, as this will make the mixture too wet and difficult to mold.

Once your mixture reaches the desired consistency, press it into silicone molds or ice cube trays.

Compact the mixture tightly to ensure the melts hold their shape once dry.

Allow the shower melts to dry for 24-48 hours. Place them in a cool, dry area, away from direct sunlight. They should be hard to the touch once fully dried.

Once dry, remove the melts from the molds and store them in an airtight container.

How to Use DIY Mint Shower Melts

Place one shower melt onto the shower floor away from the direct stream of water. As it dissolves, it will release a refreshing minty aroma.

How to Store DIY Mint Shower Melts

Store shower melts in an airtight glass container. Keep in a cool, dark cabinet and out of direct sunlight.
